COAS, British HC discuss regional security in meeting

RAWALPINDI: British High Commissioner Thomas Drew met on Monday Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Bajwa at the General Headquarters, according to an Inter-Services Intelligence Relations statement.
According to army’s media cell, matters of mutual interest and regional security were discussed in the meeting.
The meeting was held before the COAS departed for a one-day visit to Saudi Arabia along with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
During the visit, the premier will hold discussions with senior officials of the kingdom on the ongoing crisis involving Qatar and Saudi Arabia and other Arab states.
