ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif on Saturday claimed that Imran Khan’s PTI will eventually merge with Asif Ali Zardari’s PPP as both parties were moving towards each other.

“The way things are, it seems eventually Zardari would become the chairman of PTI,” said Asif while speaking to the media in Islamabad.

The defence minister also said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would succeed in the court of the people during the 2018 general elections.

He added that negative politics by all opponents would be rejected.

“The government is fulfilling all its promises made by the PML-N during the last elections,” said Asif.

Asif added that the masses would again bring the PML-N to power by giving it a heavy mandate during the general elections 2018.
