Those calling for accountability stand with ‘kings of corruption’: Marriyum Aurangzeb

PESHAWAR: Minister of State for Information Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Thursday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has presented his entire family for accountability after allegations were levelled against him.

She added opponents who are calling for accountability stand with the ‘kings of corruption’.

“Imran Khan has always done politics on the grounds of a single hospital and a world cup win,” said Aurangzeb.

“Imran is not concerned about the prevalent issues in the country, he only indulges in negative politics by leveling false allegations.” added the minister for information broadcasting. 

The minister also said that the PTI chief has realised that the prime minister will be honourably acquitted by the Joint Investigative Team probing him and his family. 

“Prime Minister Nawaz is not named in the Panama papers – however the financial details of the premier`s son and his late father have been presented before the courts."

She added that the prime minister has established that no one has immunity from accountability.

She alleged that Imran Khan`s money trail for purchase of the Bani Gala property only appears on social media but has not been presented before the courts.

Referring to the recent Parachinar blasts, she said it is wrong to give a sectarian colour to the attacks in Parachinar and through a specific agenda, sectarianism is being promoted as controversies was created on social media over aid to Parachinar affectees.
