HYDERABAD: Two women were found dead in a house here in Bismillah City, Latifabad No 10, late Monday night, CIA in-charge Aslam Langah said.

Reaching the crime scene, officials of the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) and the forensic team collected evidence that would be useful in their investigative process.

"The murders don't seem to be linked to the robbery," Langah explained, noting how no valuables were missing from the house where the two women – who were a mother- and daughter- in-law – were killed.

The investigative official added that the house was completely safe and that entry from outside was not possible.

At the time of the crime, only the two deceased women were at home alongside a 6-month-old baby girl, Langah mentioned, adding that Dildar Qureshi and his son were away.

Detailing the crime, the security officer stated that both women were killed with a knife, but the bodies were found from different rooms of the house.

"For now, we are gathering data; we have already taken the fingerprints from around the house," Langah elucidated, adding that both bodies will be undergoing post-mortem.

However, a case can and will only be filed once the authorities get in touch with the family members, the security official said.
