PCB, Younis Khan at loggerhead: sources

Younis Khan's absence from the recent reception hosted by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on July 4 for the cricket team has confirmed that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and former star Test cricketer are once again at loggerheads.

Sources privy to development have confirmed that Younis skipped the reception due to the questionable attitude of PCB General Manager International Cricket Usman Wahla with him; furthermore, Khan had earlier also turned down the offer to participate in the World XI versus Afghanistan match scheduled at Lords, on the same grounds.

The former Test captain has conveyed to Wahla that he is not bound by board`s regulations after retirement from international cricket.

Along with Younis Khan; former captains, Misbahul Haq and Shahid Afridi also were not present at the reception.
