Drowsy driver crashes oil tanker on National Highway

Officials acted promptly to stop the fuel from leaking out of the overturned oil tanker

LAHORE: An oil tanker carrying fuel flipped over near Harappa, on the National Highway, late Thursday night, Geo News reported.

Motorway police reached the scene on time and cordoned off the area. Officials also acted promptly to stop the fuel from leaking out of the overturned oil tanker.

The accident occurred since the driver of the vehicle was drowsy and may have dozed off during driving, motorway police officers said. However, he managed to escape and could not be apprehended.
