LAHORE: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight – en route from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – made an emergency landing at Multan International Airport Thursday night due to worsening weather conditions, Geo News reported.

Passengers from PK-726, the Lahore-bound flight, have been stranded in Multan since almost nine hours, as of reporting time, airport sources revealed.

On the other hand, those waiting to go from Lahore to Quetta – since the flight was set to fly to Balochistan's capital city following the stopover – also found themselves stuck at Allama Iqbal International Airport and consequently engaged in arguments with the crew, sources added.

However, sources explained that despite the banter with airport crew, passengers intending to fly to Quetta will now have to wait until the next scheduled flight on Monday.
