Pakistan’s Naseem Akhtar storms into World U-18 Snooker Championship final

Naseem outclassed Israel’s Amir Nardela to reach the finals

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Naseem Akhtar has stormed into the finals of the inaugural edition of the IBSF World Under-18 Snooker Championship 2017 being held in Beijing, China.

Continuing his winning streak, Naseem outclassed Israel’s Amir Nardela 4-0 (74-19(69), 82-0(64), 90-21, 89-42) to secure a berth in the finals of the Championship.

Naseem, who is also Pakistan’s national junior champion, will face his Chinese counterpart in the final today (Tuesday).

Earlier Naseem defeated Florian Nuble of Austria 4-1 in the quarter-finals with frame scores of 62-67, 74-7, 86-29, 74-8, 72-21, in the event contested by 48 cueists from 29 countries.
