Security forces recovered a huge cache of weapons and ammunition near Kohat Tunnel and arrested two terrorists in an operation carried out as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Taking action on an intelligence report, security forces found a large quantity of weapons and ammunition in a secret compartment at the bottom of a truck, said ISPR.

The ammunition, which includes more than thousand types of pistols, 212 shotguns and SMGs, 105 automatic weapons and 7,000 rounds, was being moved from Darra Adam Khel to WANA by the terrorists.

In early March, the Frontier Corps Balochistan recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation at Chot Camp area in Quetta, the ISPR had said.

Recovered ammunition included 4900 small machine gun rounds, 453 x 12.7 mm gun rounds, 140 AGL rounds and 24 hand grenades.
