Harrison Ford turns 75 today and the Indiana Jones star doesn’t seem too keen on retiring from Hollywood anytime soon!
With Blade Runner 2049, alongside Ryan Gosling, set to release in October later this year, Ford shows no signs of slowing down or letting go off his action hero image, which fans have come to love.
Born on July 13, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, Ford was a late starter in the cinematic world, initially working as a carpenter till he was 30, and finally doing minor roles on television and in films to support his wife and two children.
It was not until the age of 35, when Ford bagged his first major role as space smuggler Han Solo in the original Star Wars in 1977.
Contributing almost 50 years of unforgettable iconic roles, Ford has played Han Solo in the Star Wars series, an archaeologist gone rogue in Indiana Jones, and Rick Deckard in Blade Runner.
As of 2016, his films have grossed over 6 billion worldwide making Ford the highest-grossing US domestic box-office star.
He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and too many awards to count, including an Oscar nomination for the role of a detective in The Witness (1985).
