Malala Yousafzai, a citizen-turned celebrity who is a ray of hope for millions around the world, enjoys an adorable bond with her brother.

The 20-year-old Nobel Laureate and human rights activist on Friday posted a handwritten card her brother Khushal sent her on her birthday and it displayed the typical tone of sibling love and rivalry.

“You are not just an amazing person but you are also an amazing sister,” Khushal wrote in the card.

But thinking it may have become too cute, he then wrote, “But to become great like me, you have to follow my ways. So follow me on Twitter.”

To which, Malala replied with, “Ok, I will follow you @Khushal_KY - but just for today. Make it count!”

She also added an unamused emoji.

In a special message delivered via Geo News earlier this week, Malala advised her fellow countrymen and women to prioritise education.

“On my birthday today… this is my message to all Pakistanis: Believe in yourself, speak up for your rights, [and acquire] education, because it is very important for the future of Pakistan. It is only through education you can change the future of your country and take it forward,” she said.

To parents, she said, “If you can give something [precious] to your children, it is education. Through education, they can progress and contribute to their country and family.”

Malala, who was shot by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan terrorists in 2012 in her hometown of Swat, Pakistan, joined Twitter a few days ago and informed her followers about her plans.

Designated the UN Messenger of Peace in 2017, Malala has advocated education from a very young age, by speaking against the Taliban and making efforts to keep girls in school through the Malala Fund and other initiatives.

It's quite heartwarming to see that even after becoming a Nobel laureate, Malala has not allowed fame to get to her head and stays a humble, simple person. Kudos to her!
