Senior Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique in reaction to the Supreme Court`s decision to disqualify Nawaz Sharif tweeted on Sunday that the time has come to decide who will rule the country.

The former railways minister took to the popular micro-blogging website to express his sentiments on the country’s political situation.

Lashing out at the 'establishment', he said the time has come to write 'new conditions to stop institutions from meddling with other institutions' matters.' He further said that now is the time to determine how each word of the Constitution can be implemented.

“We [PML-N] want civilian supremacy in the country,” he said, adding that it is ‘imperative to live in an era when the times are tough.’

PML-N Senator Asif Kirmani in a separate statement said Nawaz Sharif will soon be 'among the nation again.'

“The country awaits disclosure of Imran & company's financial embezzlement,” Kirmani said.

“The foreign funding case will bury Imran Khan’s political once and for all.”

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief is facing a disqualification case in the Supreme Court for allegedly hiding his assets and owning offshore companies.

The case, presently under way, has been filed by PML-N's Hanif Abbasi.
