COAS felicitates China's PLA on 90th founding day

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa felicitated the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) on its 90th founding day. 

Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor conveyed the army chief's message in a tweet on Monday.

The ISPR chief also shared pictures of Gen Bajwa's earlier visit to China, as well as, joint exercises and collaboration between the armed forces of the two countries.

A PLA contingent participated in the Pakistan Day military parade on March 23, 2017.

Chinese president inspects troops on military's 90th anniversary

China's armed forces, the world's largest, are in the midst of an ambitious modernisation programme

The PLA marked its anniversary on Sunday, celebrating 90 years since its founding. 

Chinese President Xi Jinping inspected a military parade held to mark the day in China's Inner Mongolia region.
