A complete shutdown is being observed in Indian-occupied Kashmir on Wednesday to protest against the killing of youth by Indian troops in Pulwama and other parts of the territory, Kashmir Media Service reported.
The puppet administration ordered immediate suspension of Internet services and closure of all schools and colleges in the valley. Public transport remained suspended in many parts of the territory.
On Tuesday, Indian forces martyred two youth after destroying a building with chemical weapon, while another youth was martyred during firing on the people protesting against the killings in the area, the media service reported.
The killings prompted protests in Pulwama district, where residents clashed with the troops in Harkipora area.
The resistance leadership, in a joint statement issued in Srinagar, appealed to the people to offer funeral prayers in absentia for the three deceased youth.
The leadership also urged India to shun its stubborn approach towards the Kashmir dispute, and understand that peace in South Asia was impossible without the resolution of the issue.
