Three 'terrorists' killed in CTD encounter in Gujrat

Large cache of explosive material and weapons also recovered

GUJRAT: Three terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban were killed in an encounter with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in Gujrat late Wednesday, Geo News reported.

According to a CTD spokesperson, the CTD personnel conducted an operation at University Road near Nala Muradpur on intelligence reports stating that the terrorists were present in the area. When the terrorists opened fire, the CTD personnel returned the fire killing three terrorists of the banned outfit.

Three others managed to flee, and a search operation is under way to locate them.

A large cache of explosive material and weapons were also recovered from the terrorists.
