PESHAWAR: A seven member high level Afghan military delegation led by Lt Gen Muhammad Zaman Waziri, Commander 201 Corps, ANA, visited HQ 11 Corps Peshawar.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wing of the Pakistan Army, the Afghan delegation held meetings with Commander Peshawar Corps Lt Gen Nazir Ahmed Butt.
The meeting was also attended by DGMOs of both the Armies and IGFC Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to continue their fight against terrorism and deliberated over mutual security interests and concerns including the border security mechanism.
The visit ended with a resolve that peace and stability can best be achieved through complementary efforts and enhanced cooperation, the statement concluded.
