MULTAN: The CNG supply will remain suspended in Multan Region for the second day today, Geo News reported Tuesday.
The consumers at large are facing massive troubles owing to the two-day closure of CNG in most areas of South Punjab including Multan.
The CNG pumping stations are closed today on the second day in Multan, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Vihari, Khanewal and Layyah, posing huge problems for the owners of CNG-fuelled vehicles, as using petrol products is heavy on their pocket.
The gas supply was disconnected at 6am yesterday morning, which will be resumed at 6am on Wednesday after two days.
Also, the fares of commercial vehicles have also been reved up, putting the commuters on horns of further economic difficulties.
Meantime, employees at the CNG stations said they are less paid for two-day CNG closure.
Also, CNG pumps owners announced to formally wage a campaign against the government in protest against two-day weekly closure of CNG; however, no date has yet been made public.
