19th Amendment Bill a landmark: Rahimdad

PESHAWAR: Senior Minister Rahimdad Khan on Wednesday welcomed the passage of 19th Amendment Bill and termed it a landmark achievement of the democratic forces.

Talking to media, he said that it has restored the 1973 constitution and would go a long way in bringing supremacy of the constitution and will strengthen parliament inline with the cherished mission of Qauid-e-Awam ZA Bhutton and Shaheed-e-Jamhoriat Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

He said that restoration of 1973 constitution was the dream of Bibi Shaheed and hat off to the democratic forces for the today's landmark decision. He congratulated the PPP, PML-N, ANP, MQM, PML-Q and all other democratic forces for supporting this bill in the National Assembly.

He expressed the hope that the bill would also be passed with overwhelming majority from the Senate.
