Websites of various govt ministries hacked

Various government websites were hacked on Monday by Indian hackers and were defaced with pro-India messages.

The websites of the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Climate Change, Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination and others were hacked by a group calling themselves “LulzSec India”.

The hackers left messages praising India and its armed forces on the websites. 

There has been no comment from the government on the matter and the websites remain defaced till they were rendered inaccessible.  

Hackers from both sides of the border have hacked and defaced government websites on a number of occasions. In early January, a government website run by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was hacked by Indian hackers.
