KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain made a telephonic contact on Wednesday after Rangers raid on MQM’s Nine Zero.
According to MQM statement, Altaf Hussain called former president and briefed him about raid on MQM headquarters Nine-Zero and his elder sister’s house.
Asif Zardari strongly condemned the raid and said everyone should respect the sanctity of the political offices.
Zardari also assured Altaf Hussain that PPP and MQM would continue to cooperate with each other to protect democracy.
Meanwhile, PPP leader and Senator Rehman Malik also telephoned MQM Chief and strongly condemned raid.
Altaf Hussain also briefed Malik about the raid and thanked to the Senator for expressing solidarity with him.
