A huge fire that broke out at an apartment complex in London's west side area late Saturday night is now under control, London Fire Brigade said.
Over 60 firefighters were engaged in the attempt to douse the blaze, which took place in Bayswater's Kensington Gardens Square.
London Fire Brigade responded to the call at around 6:50 PM (local time), it said, adding that more than eight fire tenders were deployed in the process.
Two flats in the apartment complex were seriously damaged, officials explained.
“This was a challenging fire and crews worked hard to contain it and to stop it from spreading further than the two affected flats," Nick Saunders – the station manager present at the scene – said, according to British tabloid The Sun.
Saunders added, as per the publication, that “a turntable ladder was also used to fight the fire”.
No casualties were reported.
