LONDON: The wife of Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Begun Kulsoom Nawaz, is expected to return to Pakistan from London after a week, sources said.

Kulsoom Nawaz, who left for London a time when nomination papers for NA-120 were being scrutinised, will be coming back after three medical check-ups abroad, sources added.

According to sources, her blood samples have been sent for tests, the reports of which are expected to be received later in the week. After the reports will be issued, the doctors will update Kulsoom Nawaz on her health condition, after which he is likely to fly back to Pakistan, sources said.

Kulsoom Nawaz got her nomination papers for NA-120 filed after the seat fell vacant post Nawaz’s disqualification by the Supreme Court on July 28. In the 2013 general elections, Nawaz had won the seat by a substantial margin, defeating Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Yasmin Rashid, who will be contesting for the seat this time around too.

Earlier, Rashid had alleged Kulsoom Nawaz has hid facts in her nomination papers. Therefore, Rashid demanded, Kulsoom Nawaz’s nomination papers be rejected.
