Players and dignitaries took to social media to express their excitement

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the names of players participating in the star-studded World XI tour on Thursday, and Twitterati have been bursting with excitement.
Players and dignitaries took to social media to welcome the international players to Pakistan. Some of the team's own players tweeted about their excitement.
Pakistan Army spokesperson also welcomed the cricketers. Major General Asif Ghafoor wrote, "We welcome Cricket Team World XI to Pakistan. Pakistanis are eagerly prepared to host them as a peace and sports loving nation."
'Sultan of swing' Wasim Akram also welcomed the coming of World XI to Pakistan and said that the present generation will also now be able to watch their heroes play before them.
Pakistan players from the victorious Champions Trophy squad could not hold back their excitement.
