LAHORE: Motorway police fined on Sunday National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq for speeding near Khanqah Dogran on M2 motorway.
According to the motorway police, Sadiq was travelling from Lahore to Islamabad on the second day of Eid-ul-Azha.
Sadiq’s two vehicles were fined Rs2,500 for violating traffic rules, the police informed.
The M2 motorway, which is 375 km long, connects Lahore to Rawalpindi. It passes through Kala Shah Kaku, Sheikhupura, Khanqah Dogran, Kot Sarwar, Pindi Bhattian, Salem, Lilla, Kot Momin, Kallar Kahar, Balksar, Nila Dulha and Chakri.
The motorway police vigilantly monitor that all the vehicles on the motorway follow the speed limit.
