PESHAWAR: Police has failed to arrest the murderer of a 24-year old university student, two weeks after the incident happened.

Aliya, who also taught at a private school, was killed at her doorstep in Peshawar's Tehkal area after she refused to accept the proposal of a much older man, Sareer.

"My daughter was killed by a man who is not only married but also a grandfather," Aliya's mother lamented.

The brother of the deceased girl said the accused had sent the proposal multiple times and had promised to not do so after the last instance.

"We are raiding different areas to arrest the accused," a police spokesperson said.
