LAHORE: Bowling sensation Hasan Ali has South Africa’s star batsman Hashim Amla on his radar already, as Pakistan prepares to host the star-studded World XI for a three-match T20 series next week.

Speaking to media at the Gaddafi Stadium on Friday, where all three matches of the Independence Cup will be held, Hasan said he could not wait to play his first ever international match on his country’s soil.

“It will be my first ever international match in Pakistan, and I’m really excited about it,” said the 23-year-old, who played for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League final at Gaddafi Stadium earlier this year.

The pacer said he was already eyeing the wicket of Amla, who is part of the World XI squad which will be captained by fellow South African Faf du Plessis.

Hasan Ali's unique celebratory style

“I will try my best to get him out,” he said, adding that there will be pressure on the players to perform their very best.

Hasan said he was working on reverse swing with bowling coach Azhar Mahmood.

The star pacer also promised he would celebrate in his unique style whenever he bags a wicket in the World XI series.

“I will celebrate in the [same] style for my fans,” he smiled.

Pakistan will play against the World XI on September 12, 13 and 15.
