SUKKUR: Leader of Opposition Khursheed Shah said on Saturday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will have to accept the Supreme Court’s decision in the Panama case issue.
The senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader was speaking to media. Shah said that he does not have reservations over the building of ties between the Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
He further said that the political parties have the right to bring in their leader to represent opposition.
Shah also addressed the subject of Imran Khan’s ongoing case in the Election Commission of Pakistan.
“If Imran doesn’t accept the decision then how will the institutions function?” said Shah.
The Opposition leader said that the ECP is a state institution and should be respected.
Khursheed Shah said the name for the new chairman of the National Accountability Bureau has not been finalised.
On Thursday, Shah said that he met Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for the appointment of the chairman NAB, adding that he did not present any grievances before the premier.
The incumbent NAB chairman retires in the third week of October and is appointed after consultation between the premier and the opposition leader, as per the law.
