Two 'terrorists' killed in CTD raid in Multan

Four suspected terrorists are said to have escaped when CTD conducted a raid in Chak 23 of Jalalpur Pirwala

MULTAN: Two suspected terrorists were killed in a raid by the Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Chak 23 of Jalalpur Pirwala Sunday night.

According to CTD officials, information was received that a suspected terrorist, Ijaz Asghar, along with five associates, is hiding in the area. As the CTD officials reached the site to nab the suspects, an exchange of fire took place in which two suspected terrorists were killed, said officials.

The remaining suspects, however, managed to escape.

CTD officials said one of the deceased was the group’s leader, Asghar. They claimed to have recovered weapons, grenades and explosives from the possession of the deceased.
