Special forces of Pakistan and Russia armies began a two-week long joint exercise ‘DRUZBA 2017’ in Minralney Vody, Russia on Monday.

The opening ceremony of the drills was attended by senior military officials of the special forces of both the countries.

The joint military exercise will focus on counter-terrorism operations, hostage and rescue, cordon and search operations, and is intended to further strengthen military ties between the two countries.

The drills will also serve as a platform to share the Pakistan Army’s experience in the war against terrorism.
