Hotel owners fleecing general public due to low gas pressure

RAWALPINDI: Due to gas pressure, hotel owners are looting general public with both hands and charging exorbitant rates of tea and bread in different part of the city.

A number of people have complained that the hotel owners have enhanced rates without any approval from the district administration.

"No action has so far been taken as they re serving tea for Rs 17 instead of Rs 15, and selling Roti for Rs 6 owing to low gas pressure," Abdul Ghani, a resident of Waris Khan said.

Meanwhile, the people belonging to various walks of life expressed concerned over low gas pressure saying it has made their life miserable.

The areas including Waris Khan, Amar pura, Bani, Dhoke Khaba, Dhoke Elahi Bukush, Dheri Hassanabad, Lal Kurti, Quaid -i-Azam Colony, Liaquat Colony, ahmedabad, Dhoke Lakhan, Girja road are experince a very low gas pressure as a result the residents are facing difficulties in cooking at morning and evening times.

Some areas are facing acute shortage and there was no gas pressure at all.
