Quetta Sunday Bazaar fails to give relief
QUETTA: The only Sunday Bazaar (Sasta Bazaar) set up in the city failed to provide relief to people, who are increasingly vexed and anguished by surging prices.

District Administration makes arrangements for Sunday Bazaar on Joint Road area of the city, where stalls of essential items including edibles, are erected to offer poor and middle class people, things at affordable prices. But, the commodities sold here are not less expensive than those sold outside the Bazaar.

Tomato is sold in Rs. 100/kg, peas in Rs. 60, onions in Rs. 50, while, turnip is being sold at Rs. 40 per kilogram, as stall-holders are selling things at tariffs of their own choice thanks to the presence of no check and balance by management.

The citizens here said it is Sasta Bazaar in name only; but, nothing is inexpensive here, pleading the government and district administration to take effective steps to overcome the price hike.
