At least three people were injured in an explosion on Peshawar's Ring Road on Friday, police said.
SSP Operations Sajjad Khan said the explosion took place near a hospital located on Ring Road. Khan confirmed the number of people injured in the explosion.
Geo News correspondent, who was near the location at the time of the blast, said the explosion sounded like a grenade explosion.
Police did not confirm the exact nature of the explosion.
The affected sustained minor injuries, officials said.
Earlier today police and intelligence agencies, in a joint operation, rounded up two terrorists, recovering heavy explosives from their custody.
SSP Operations Sajjad Khan, giving details of the operation, said 34 kg of explosives, IEDs, detonators, ball bearings, hand grenades, battery cell and other ammunition were seized during the operation, which was conducted in the city's Yasinabad area.
The SSP said the arrested were plotting a major terrorist activity in the city, which was foiled due to the timely operation.
