Police make no progress in hunt for ‘knife attacker’

So far six suspects have been arrested during raids in different parts of Gulistan-e-Jauhar

KARACHI: Police in the metropolis have made no progress in the hunt for the 'knife attacker' responsible for a spate of attacks on women in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of the metropolis. 

The six suspects arrested by the police earlier have been released from custody. 

Police have released a video of the ‘knife attacker’ in which the suspect can be seen attacking a woman with a sharp object.

"The suspect appears to be a thin man, aged 20-29," East DIG Sultan Khawaja said, adding that "he appears to be five feet, seven to nine inches tall" and usually rides a red motorcycle.

The official also announced that anyone who helps provide information, which could lead to the suspect's arrest, would be awarded Rs0.5 million.
