Chemistry moot begins at JU

KARACHI: A conference on Chemistry and its role in science began here on Monday. The three-day moot is being organized by the Jinnah University for Women at its premises.

Director of HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi, Prof. Dr. Iqbal Choudhary, was the guest of honour.

Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the holding of this very conference.

Prof. Iqbal Choudhary spoke of the significance of the research and development activities.

He said that the seats of higher learning should pay attention towards this very aspect. Prof. Iqbal Choudhary also shed light on the research being undertaken for the development of medicines for various diseases.

The Vice-Chancellor of Jinnah University for Women, Prof. Dr.Riaz Ahmed Hashmi, presented the welcome address.
