Fog causes motorway closure

ISLAMABAD: The motorway from Peshawar to Burhan has been closed for traffic on Thursday due to severe fog.

Fog has engulfed many parts of Peshawar including its urban areas.

Motorway Police said visibility due to the fog was too low to drive. Hence, it was closed to traffic last night. Traffic has been diverted to G.T. Road.

Police also issued instructions for driving on G.T. Road. On the other hand, fog has also affected many flights at Peshawar Airport.

The Meteorological Department said fog will continue to affect the area for more than a week, a news channel reported.
