MULTAN: The medical tests of Mufti Abdul Qavi have come back negative, according to doctors, however, it is unclear when he will be released from the hospital.
The police recently arrested Qavi, a suspect in the Qandeel Baloch murder case, over his failure to cooperate with the prosecution after his bail was cancelled.
Presently with the police on a physical remand, Qavi developed pain in his chest Thursday night and was then shifted to the Institute of Cardiology.
The hospital’s medical superintendent, Dr Zafar Ali, said Qavi’s tests indicated a clear bill of health but a team of senior doctors will determine whether to discharge him or keep him under observation.
He is presently in the hospital’s CCU ward.
