Peshawar-Islamabad motorway closed

PESHAWAR: In a safety bid of highway-travelers, the Peshawar-Islamabad motorway has been closed down for a little period due to dense fog, meanwhile, Peshawar airport has also met the same fate as the visibility level has reached Zero there, Geo News reported.

According to motorway authorities, at present the visibility level has turned Zero at motorway, adding that the motorway would remain closed unless betterment in visibility level at there.

Traffic pressure on G.T Road has been multiplied after closure of motorway, traffic police sources told Geo News, fearing that the thick mist existing on G.T Road may result in accidents. “Travelers should show carefulness on G.T Road due to foggy atmosphere,” the sources cautioned.

Meanwhile, Peshawar airport has also been closed down and all the domestic and international flights have been deferred.
