Injured sub-inspector shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for medical treatment

CHARSADDA: A traffic in-charge was shot and critically injured by excise personnel in Charsadda on Saturday.

The traffic in-charge was shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for immediate medical treatment. According to reports, the excise personnel opened fire on the sub-inspector after he refused to stop his car on their direction.

Earlier, on Jan 2017, a police official was killed near his house in Muslimabad as unknown men opened fire at him. 

In the same year in March, unidentified men opened fire on a police mobile in Tahkal, Peshawar, killing one police officer. According to police, unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire on police mobile, resulting in the death of a police officer, while two police officers sustained injuries. One of the assailants was killed during a retaliatory fire by police, while the other escaped on motorcycle, said police.
