‘Gas supply to Isb, Punjab CNG pumps cut

LAHORE: Managing Director (MD) Sui Northern Gas Company Rasheed Loon Saturday said gas supply to factories in Lahore region and Punjab, Islamabad CNG stations has been stopped for an indefinite period, Geo News reported.

Amid a telephonic conversation with Geo News, Rasheed informed that the intense winter weather has witnessed multiplication in demand of gas consumption. Besides, domestic consumers have turned to extreme usage of gas heaters and geysers carelessly, which has threatened SNGPL Transmission System.

“Excessive use of gas by domestic consumers has led us to nothing but complete suspension of supply to factories and CNG stations for an indefinite period in Islamabad and Punjab,” he added.
