Five killed as dumper falls on car in Swabi

Three children were injured in the accident which occurred on Topi bypass

SWABI: Five people were killed after a dumper fell on a car near Topi bypass, the police informed on Tuesday. 

Moreover, as many as three children were also injured in the accident. 

The deceased and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital. 

On June 12, a four-year-old girl was killed in a road accident when a dumper truck hit a motorcycle here at the Johar Mor bridge, near Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Geo News reported.

The crash had left the deceased girl’s parents injured, rescue sources said.

Rescue officials revealed further that the affected family resides in the metropolis’ Korangi area.

Moreover, a man had died after a dumper truck hit him near Karachi’s Ayesha Manzil area on June 18, last year. 

An enraged crowd present at the spot assaulted the driver and tried to set the vehicle on fire.

Police reached the area and tried to bring the situation under control. The dumper driver was later taken into custody by police.
