One injured in Landi Kotal blast

LANDI KOTAL: A passerby was critically wounded in a remote control blast at the main Landi Kotal Bazaar in Khyber Agency on Friday.

The injured has been shifted to a nearby hospital for immediate medical treatment, informed Levies officials.  

The identity of the injured has not yet been disclosed by the local administration.

The blast took place in the car parking area of the market. 

As many as three cars were damaged from the blast. 

Local authorities along with security personnel closed the market and cordoned off the area to start a search operation after the incident.

Earlier, in January, an explosion took place in Sultankhel area of the city.

According to the security sources, the blast occurred outside the residence of a polio worker. 

The personnel of Khasadar force and police reached the site soon after the explosion. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
