KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Mirzahas said that provincial government was determined to provide all basic necessities of life to the personnel of Police Department.
"Present government will leave no stone unturned to provide facilities to the police who are fighting the war on terror," he said while addressing the inauguration ceremony of newly constructed building of Gadap Urban Police Station in Gadap Town here on Monday.
He said unlike the previous practices, the government was committed to improve the lot of the police fraternity.
"All the police stations are being renovated while several welfare oriented projects are being launched," he said.
Mirza said that government has also earmarked various projects for medical and educational facilities for the children of the policemen across the board so that they could not feel abandoned.
"Policemen in near future will feel secured with their family so that they could dedicate their full concentration on work with a sense of security and fight anti-social elements with fresh vigor," he added.
The Secretary Home Arif Khan, IG Sindh Sultan Khawaja, CCPO Karachi Fayyaz Leghari and TPO Gadap were also present.
