Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said on Sunday that the party does not want a delay in elections but instead demands early elections in the country.
In a video message, he suggested that all the assemblies, provincial and national, should be dissolved after consultation with the stakeholders.
He said if everyone is on board then the PTI will also dissolve the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, where it holds a majority.
The party spokesperson said the PTI wants the delimitations bill to be discussed in the Council of Common Interests before it is made into a law.
Chaudhry said they will not accept any delay in the elections on the basis of the non-passing of the delimitations bill, adding that elections, not census, are the spirit of democracy.
The PTI is set to hold a public rally later today in Ubauro, Sindh.
Political parties have yet to pass legislation on the delimitation of constituencies, deemed a constitutional necessity by the Election Commission of Pakistan, with regards to the holding of general elections next year.
