SC directs to remove DG FIA from Haj probe

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court directed the government to remove DG FIA Wasim Ahmed from Haj probe, Geo News reported.

A statement of Interior Minister Rehman Malik was presented before the court, upon which Sardar Latif Khosa said it was not a SMS. The court then asked him to sit down because he was not a defence lawyer.

Justice Ramday said to DG FIA that he was protecting the criminal. If the case gets spoiled we will not spare any one, Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry observed during hearing.

Hearing into the case has been adjourned till January 20, 2011.
