QUETTA: A mild earthquake hit Quetta and adjacent areas in Balochistan late Tuesday, Geo News learnt.

The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded 4.2 on the Richter scale, according to the seismological centre.

Tremors were also felt in Nushki and suburban areas.

The epicentre of the quake was located 95 kilometres north-west from Quetta, near the Pak-Afghan border, the seismological centre said.

The tremors emanated from a depth of 11 kilometres, it added.

Fortunately, no loss of life and property was reported in the wake of the quake.
