KARACHI: Police on Wednesday registered case of an alleged physical assault on a Pakistani-American national at a hotel in the metropolis' upscale area, Defence Housing Authority (DHA).
Jennifer Gul, the woman who filed the complaint, claims that the police has not yet taken any action after the filing of the case, adding that, the physical assault is recorded on the CCTV cameras of the hotel but the authorities are pressuring her to compromise with the assailants.
Gul maintained that suspect Faraz Ashraf took her to a hotel, where five of his accomplices assaulted her.
Speaking to the media, she said: "I have been with Faraz for four years. We were supposed to get married. Faraz urged me to come with him. His friends were inside already and those guys were not normal."
Gul added: "you can see my wounds and they are not showing the footage because their is a recording in which they (suspects) are recorded saying, don’t let this girl leave the hotel".
"Please go to the hotel and see the footage what happened to me. I am tired of coming to this place, I did not get my MLO done. Only I know how I am talking. I am now going to go to my consular, and these people will regret," she added.
Gul informed that along with Ashraf; Farhan Kakrani, Shehzad and five other people are nominated in the case.
