KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce Manzoor Wassan Wednesday came up with yet another prediction that Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pak Sarzmeen Party (PSP) will now be led from Dubai.
The provincial minister's statement came hours before the MQM-P and PSP formally announced regrouping with "one name, one symbol and one manifesto", a year after the two political factions announced complete disassociation from their former leadership based in London.
"We will contest the upcoming elections under one name and symbol," MQM-P head Farooq Sattar said at the press conference in Karachi, sitting alongside PSP chief Mustafa Kamal.
Speaking to media here, Wassan took the credit of his recent predictions about the MQM-P and PSP.
The Sindh minister noted that he had already told that they all are united, but everyone was irked by his remarks.
The working formula is based on the MQM-P's agreement to not demand resignations of its party members who switched to the PSP, some reports suggest.
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Saeed Ghani also backed Wassan statement saying both the MQM-P and PSP were "the same behind the curtain."
