Lahore’s 147-year-old hospital gets a facelift

It’s out with the old and in with the new at Mayo Hospital, Lahore’s oldest, largest and busiest hospital. The tired, crumbling façade and interiors of Mayo’s Garhi Ward are getting a sleek and much-needed restoration.

A team of urban designers at the AEDL have come together to give the grim ward a revamp. The project’s principal architect is Attiq Ahmed.

Here are the before and after pictures of the hospital.
