LAHORE: Any person who changes their political allegiance will have nowhere to go, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique warned Sunday night.

Rafique — a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) — stressed that the delimitation of constituencies will benefit the democratic system as a whole and not the political parties.

Speaking exclusively to Geo News here, the railways' minister — who was attending the wedding of Minister of Foreign Affairs Khawaja Muhammad Asif's daughter — stated that the new delimitation has been agreed upon by all parties following a discussion.

Also in attendance were Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Governor of Punjab Rafique Rajwana, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) Ayaz Sadiq and Minister for Commerce and Textiles Mohammad Pervaiz Malik.

On the other hand, the state interior minister noted that the PML-N has had to give up nine of its seats (in Punjab) following the new census.

With regard to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, Chaudhry commented that he makes irresponsible statements and that they, therefore, should not be heeded.
