Ahsan Khan-starrer Chupan Chupai promises to be a laugh riot

KARACHI: The trailer of Ahsan Khan and Neelum Munir starrer Chupan Chupai was officially released in a star-studded ceremony at a local cinema Wednesday evening.

The movie revolves around five central characters on a quest to earn quick cash. In a moment of desperation, they kidnap a minister’s son and land into trouble with the antagonist, Chaudhry. 

The trailer also hints at a romance between cowardly Baby (Ahsan Khan) and fearless Pari (Neelum Munir).

The movie marks the comeback of Ahsan Khan on the silver screen after almost three years. Speaking of the movie, he shared that people new to the industry are behind the project.

“Students from NAPA [National Academy of Performing Acts] have acted in the movie,” he said, adding “the young talent must be supported.”

He hoped that the movie proves to be the best gift for the coming new year. The movie will release on December 29.

Neelum Munir, who marks her debut in Pakistan film industry, shared that she is quite excited about the movie.

On her equation with Ahsan, she remarked that he has been a very good friend of her. “Acting becomes much easier when you are working friends. We share a lovely chemistry in the movie.”

On her overall experience, she remarked that she had a blast shooting the movie. “The music is very good. Our director is satisfied with us in terms of work.”

The movie also marks the directorial debut of Mohsin Ali, who has also written the movie’s script. He said that the comic-thriller is based in Karachi.
